seeking:
all the sunlight,
all the beauty,
and all the grace.
A native of Los Angeles (we DO exist!), I grew up in the sunny South Bay where the seeds of my love for the ocean were planted in me at a young age. Every Sunday after church as kids, we set our umbrella and beach chairs up at the volleyball courts at Marine Street in Manhattan Beach where my dad played volleyball all day and we begged him incessantly to take us to the water between games. My love for the beach and for volleyball stayed with me. A scholarship athlete on the Women’s Volleyball team, I graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2010 with a degree in Business and 2 bum shoulders. What I didn’t know at the time, was that as deeply rooted as my identity as an athlete was, so was my identity as an artist. My mom, a painter, nourished my creativity all along — me not knowing that one day, it’d rise and bloom from behind a lens.
Seeking all the sunlight, all the beauty and all the grace, I’m continually evolving as an artist and as a human. My hope is that the images I capture speak to something in you that’s searching - for hope, for peace, for joy - and that maybe, in some way, they move you forward as they do me.
